> About the Drivaire Ai Plus System

The Drivaire Ai Plus is a modular home ventilation system, which comprises a standard ventilation base with other modular units.  This customised, modular home ventilation system enables you to install:

  • 1 or 2kW Heater Unit – to heat the circulating or fresh incoming air.
  • Heat Movement/Transfer Kit – to effectively move warm air from one or more heated rooms in the home, to other cooler rooms.
  • Fresh Air Kit – this provides the choice for the homeowner to select incoming air directly from outside, or from the internal ceiling space.

In summer, if the Fresh Air option is installed and turned on, the system can take cooler outdoor air and circulate this throughout the home.  Cool air circulation can also be achieved where the home is cooled with an installed heat pump.

 > How the Drivaire Ai Plus System Works

  • The Drivaire Ai Plus system operates as a ‘positive’ pressure system.  It takes warmer air from the ceiling space (or cooler outdoor air, if the Drivaire Fresh Air option is installed and turned on) and pushes it through the house. This raises the air pressure in the house slightly which in part pushes out the moist indoor air.
  • The Drivaire Ai Plus system can operate solely as a roof space ventilator system.  In addition, if the Fresh Air kit is installed (as an extra feature), it provides the homeowner the option of fresh air being supplied from outdoors or from the ceiling space.  The choice is yours and it’s simple and easy to switch between the two air supply options. 
  • The Drivaire Ai Plus system operates primarily as a home ventilation system.  However, incoming air can be heated with the installation of a 1 or 2kW heater unit.

Each Drivaire Ai Plus system is individually designed and takes into consideration a number of factors including the respective floor space and house layout.
