 How the Drivaire Ai Plus System Works

> The Drivaire Ai Plus system operates as a ‘positive’ pressure system.  It takes dry air from the ceiling space (or cooler outdoor air, if the Drivaire Fresh Air option is installed and turned on), filters it, and delivers it through the house.

> This raises the air pressure in the house slightly which in part pushes out the moist indoor air.

> The system measures both the temperature in the roof space and inside the home; and alters itself accordingly to give the best ventilation solution.

> When air is warmer in the roof space than in the home, the system will automatically adjust to ventilate and deliver more air thus offering 'solar gain'  - free heat from the sun.

> As the roof space cools, the rate of air ventilation will reduce, but the system will always deliver a small amount of air to the home, continuing to reduce the moisture level in the home.

> On cold days, as there is a small amount of cool air being introduced to the home, there can sometimes be a slight drop in temperature within the home.  This drop in temperature is easily dispelled with the introduction of conventional home heating; and a dryer home is far easier to heat.

Additional Features of the Drivaire System

> The Drivaire Ai Plus system can operate solely as a roof space ventilator system.  In addition, if the Fresh Air kit is installed (as an extra feature), it provides the homeowner the option of fresh air being supplied from outdoors or from the ceiling space.  The choice is yours and it’s simple and easy to switch between the two air supply options. 

> The Drivaire Ai Plus system operates primarily as a home ventilation system.  However, incoming air can be heated with the installation of a 1 or 2kW heater unit.

About the Drivaire Ai Plus System

The Drivaire Ai Plus is a modular home ventilation system, which comprises a standard ventilation base with other plug-in modular units.  This customised, modular home ventilation system enables you to install:

> Fresh Air Kit – this provides the choice for the homeowner to select incoming air directly from outside, or from the internal ceiling space.

> Heat Movement/Transfer Kit – to effectively move warm air from one or more heated rooms in the home, to other cooler rooms.

> 1 or 2kW Heater Unit – to heat the circulating or fresh incoming air.

In summer, if the Fresh Air option is installed and turned on, the system can take cooler outdoor air and circulate this throughout the home.

Each Drivaire Ai Plus system is individually designed and takes into consideration a number of factors including the respective floor space and house layout.  

To help assess your requirements, our in-house team of experts will, where possible, visit you on-site, to determine the best solution that is right for you.

> A floor plan of the proposed building/home.
> The construction programme – if applicable.
